Obituary of Patricia Ann Johnson

Patricia Ann Johnson August 22, 1930 - June 03, 2017 Patricia Ann Johnson, 86, was born in Robinson, Illinois to Erna and Ercie B. (Tyhurst) Cummins and passed away in Hobbs, NM on June 3, 2017. Ms. Johnson will be cremated and no services are scheduled. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. She had been a resident of Desert Gardens Senior Living Community for several years. Formerly of Robinson, IL, she lived most of her life there and had also resided in Las Vegas, NV for some time. During her life, Patricia was a faithful and active member of the United Methodist Church, including the United Methodist Women’s group. She was always ready to lend a hand in church activities and to anyone in need of a ride to church or the grocery store. Patricia worked several years at the Robinson High School cafeteria. She always had a smile and was cheerful to those around her. Preceding her in death were her parents; two husbands: Willard Johnson and Robert “Bob” Cross; two siblings: her brother, Arley Cummins and her sister, Delores (Cummins) McCall. She is survived by one daughter: Kathy and husband John McLaughlin of Lovington, NM; one son: Alan Cross of Minneapolis, MN; one brother: Kenneth Cummins of San Antonio, TX; Grandchildren: Regina Mclaughlin of Lovington, NM; Buffy McLaughlin-Spangler and husband Ryan Spangler of Hobbs, NM and John and wife Tara McLaughlin of Rio Rancho, NM; Stephanie (Cross) DuPlayee and husband Christopher of Vandalia, IL, Allison Cross of Aurora, IL; great-grandchildren are Devon Marquez, Allyson Doporto , Rayanne Spangler and Jack McLaughlin; Christian, Faith and Justice Duplayee, Cody Rossolille; and also several nieces and nephews. .
