I used to live across the street from John, Shane and Billy when were kids on Harrison. With my brother and sister, the six of us used to cause all kinds of commotion in the neighborhood. When the Marks kids joined us, everyone walked in terror :-D
Shane and I had a running battle for more than 25 years over a horse that started back in those days. I pretty much stole that horse from Shane, but it took years to do it. Shane and I laughed about it a lot. Buttons died in 1995 of congestive heart failure at about 33 years of age. I have a big hank of his tail hair braided into a hat band.
I've thought and thought about Shane since he died. I'm pretty sure he and Buttons are very glad to see each other again.
Dear Shane, you were a good friend.

My deepest condolences to the family. Shane was an amazing person and I am very pleased to have been able to know him and call him my friend. I will always hold the memories of our motorcycle rides together, regardless of how short the trips were, as well as all the other times we shared. He will forever be in our hearts. Thoughts and prayers. Jim, Alisha, and Dalton Barker

My heart felt sympathies to you all. I've know Shane since 1970 and it has been a hell of a trip!
He spent the night with me not 4 weeks ago. It was wonderful to reunite. We rode a lot of miles together.
