Glynn Marie Kidd February 21, 1917 - November 21, 2008 Funeral services for Glynn Marie Kidd, 91, of Lovington will be 10:00 am Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at 3rd and Central Church of Christ with David Stewart and Thurman “Slick” Duncan officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Mrs. Kidd was born on February 21, 1917 in Lamesa, Texas. She passed away on November 21, 2008 in Lovington, New Mexico. She married James Listor Kidd on August 28, 1937 in Lamesa, Texas. Mrs. Kidd has lived in Lovington on and off since 1947, having spent part of that time in Wilcox, AZ. She earned her degree in Elementary Education at Texas Tech and College of the Southwest after her family was raised. She was a member of 3rd & Central Church of Christ, enjoyed the Ladies Bible Class, Senior Citizens & coffee with the “girls”, “Tops” & oil painting. She was a great cook & seamstress and loved people! She is survived by one son, Gary Kidd of Lovington, New Mexico; one daughter, Barbara Wyatt and husband Bill of Riesel, Texas; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Electa Cornett; her husband, James Listor Kidd; two sons, Jimmy Wade Kidd and James Glenn Kidd; two brothers, Henry Cornett and David Cornett; one sister, Agnes Brown.
