Obituary of Zillah Gracie Lee

Zillah Gracie Lee April 08, 1914 - April 29, 2013 Funeral services for Zillah Gracie Lee, 99, of Lovington, New Mexico will be held on Friday, May 3, 2013 at Jackson Avenue Baptist Church at 2:00 pm. Zillah was born on April 8, 1914 in Seminole, Texas to Wyatt and Gracie (Epperson) Childers and passed away at the Lovington Good Samaritan on Monday, April 29, 2013. She married Cecil Davis Lee on September 17, 1934. When she was three years old she came from Seminole TX. in a coverd wagon with her mother, father and brother in 1917. Zillah and her husband Cecil owned Lee’s Upholstery shop for thirty-nine years. Zillah enjoyed doing the seek and fine cross word puzzle books, she liked gardening, flowers, birds and also working with beads. She was a charter member of Jackson Avenue Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wyatt and Gracie Childers , husband Cecil Davis Lee, one daughter Gwendolyn Lee, one grandson, Shane Lee, one brother, Ellis Childers, one son-in-law Dean Palmer, and one daughter-in-law Hazel Lee. She is survived by two sons: Dave Lee of Lovington, NM, and Sherwin Dale And wife Ann Lee of Frisco, TX. Two Daughters: Wynell S. Barry and Elora Dell Palmer of Lovington, N.M. One sister: Lossi Dell Musick of Lovington. NM, eleven grandchildren, twenty-nine great grandchildren, and 26 great great grandchildren. Visitation will be on Thursday, May 2, 2013 from 9:00 am to 8:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lovington Good Samaritan, 1600 W.
