Obituary of Ruben F Leyva

Ruben F Leyva July 15, 1950 - December 18, 2012 Funeral services for Ruben Flores Leyva, 62, of Lovington will be held On Saturday, December 22, 2012 at 10:00 am at the St. Thomas Catholic Church with Father Manuel Ibarra officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Mr. Leyva was born on July 15, 1950 in Raymondville, Texas to Thomas and Eva ( Flores) Leiba and passed away on December 18, 2012 at his residence in Lovington. He was self employed and worked a lot of years for Gilberts Lease Company. He enjoyed hunting, cooking out and was a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys. He loved his family very much. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Thomas Jr. Leiba and two sisters Daisy Martinez, and Delia Hernandez. He is survived by his wife, Maria of the home; two sons: Martin and wife Elisa, of Ft. Bragg N.C, Ruben and wife Alma of San Antonio, T.X. One daughter Maria Gonzalez of Lovington, N.M, two brothers Ramiro and wife Carmen Leyva of Perryton, T.X , Robert and wife Alice Of Lovington N.M, two sisters Eva and husband Nick Jimenez of of Snyder, T.X, Maria Carrizalez of Snyder T.X; Mr. Leyva has nine grandchildren, and one great grandchild and one on the way.
