Margaret Caldwell February 04, 1919 - May 29, 2009 Graveside services for Margaret Caldwell, 90, of Lovington will be Monday, June 1, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Lovington Cemetery. Mrs. Caldwell was born February 4, 1919 in Tatum, NM to Joseph & Lula Schooley and passed away on May 29, 2009 in Hobbs, NM. She had lived in Lovington for over 69 years. She married James Roscoe Caldwell on October 12, 1940 in Lovington. She was a gracious hostess, excellent seamtress, and enjoyed gardening & canning her produce. She lived a Christian life, serving in the nursery at First Baptist Church many years ago and never had an unkind word to say about anyone. She raised her nephew upon the death of his mother, as she loved children and caring for others. She is survived by her son, Jimmy Ray Griffin of Lovington and her daughter, Patt & husband Johnny Roquemore of Lovington, 1 nephew, Troy & wife Rhonda Smith of Lovington and 1 niece, Sherry Fortson of Streetman, TX., 4 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Roscoe; 2 sisters, Audrey Atkins and Ruth Sharp; 1 brother, Ernest Schooley and 2 great-grandchildren.
