Obituary of Jeanne Long

Jeanne Long January 15, 1944 - June 06, 2012 Graveside funeral services for Jeanne Marion Long, 68, of Lovington will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 10:00 am at Lovington cemetery with Danny Wright, Pastor of Revival Center Church officiating. Services are being conducted by Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Mrs. Long was born on January 15, 1944 in Pilot Point, Texas and passed away on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 in Lubbock, Texas. Jeanne attended college at Texas Women’s University in Denton, TX where she earned her teaching credentials. She married Tom Long in Borger, Texas on July 9, 1973. They came to Lovington 38 years ago and Jeanne taught school here for 18 years before her retirement. She enjoyed arts and crafts and sewing and had a good sense of humor. She was a member of Living Waters church. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Tom of the home, one son: Nathan Long of Lovington, one brother: Ronnie and wife Janet Rust of Plano, TX and one sister: Norma and husband Mervin Redwine of Durant, OK. And three grandchildren: Krystopher Long, Austin Long and Aniston Long, all of Lovington.
