Watch the Tribute Edith "Faye" Looney April 12, 1926 - February 26, 2012 Edith “Faye” McGuire Looney, 85, entered the portals of Heaven from her home in Eunice, NM on February 26, 2012. Edith was born on April 12, 1926 to Wallace R. and Laura (Colter) Jones in Archer City, Texas. At the wonderful age of 18, she joined her life with Edd McGuire in marriage on May 20, 1944. From this union came three children, Joyce, Eddie Ray and Connie. While living in Lovington in the early 50’s, Edith worked at the Noack Shamrock Cafe. On February 14, 1992, she married Sherman “Shorty” Looney. She was a member of Revival Center Church in Lovington. Edith was a very family oriented woman with a great sense of humor. She moved to Eunice to be near her daughter six years ago. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 1, 2012 at 10:00 am at Revival Center Church with Bro Wayne Villar officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation will be at Eunice, NM on Tuesday, February 28th from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Assembly of God Church and on Wednesday, February 29th at Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home in Lovington from 8:00 am until 8:00 pm. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, one son: Eddie Ray McGuire and one daughter: Joyce Faye McGuire; one brother: Raymond Jones and one sister: Dorothy McCarty. She is survived by two daughters: Connie and husband Jerry Harper of Eunice, NM; Tina McAlpine of Hollis, OK; six grandsons; Jerry “Bubba” Harper of Eunice, NM; Steven “Stew” and wife Jesyka Harper of Hobbs, NM, Michael “Goo” and wife Kandra Harper of Seminole, TX and Braxton Harper of Eunice, NM; Jeremy and wife Michelle Haumesser of Hollis, OK; and B. J. Haumesser of Hollis OK; four granddaughters: Camilla and Jasmine Harper of Eunice, NM; Crystal Haumesser of Ashtabula, OH and Denise and husband Grady Campbell of Winters, TX; twenty great grandchildren and a host of friends.
