Obituary of Jose Ignacio Lopez

Jose Ignacio Lopez June 18, 1994 - January 22, 2016 Funeral services for Jose Ignacio Lopez, 21, of Lubbock, TX will be held on Monday, February 1, 2016 at 12:00 noon at Primera Iglesia Bautista with Juan Carlos Soto and Rafael Gutierrez officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Jose was born on June 18, 1994 in Lubbock, Texas to Ignacio Lopez and Lordes (Rodriguez) Lopez and passed away on January 22, 2016 in Lubbock, TX. He graduated from Lovington High School in 2012, altho he attended most of his high school years at Frenship School in Wolfforth, TX. He played the trumpet in band and enjoyed singing and dancing. He was the family clown and was very outgoing and humorous and loved being with his friends. One of his passions was cooking and he was a very accomplished cook . His favorite TV shows were the culinary arts shows, Tom & Jerry, Rose Ann, and the Rugrats. Jose loved his nieces and nephews and enjoyed being with them. He will be deeply missed. Jose was preceded in death by his mother, Lordes Lopez, and one brother: Antonio Lopez Legarrea. Surviving him is his father: Ignacio Lopez of Lubbock, TX; his wife: Yeimi Lopez of Lubbock, TX; five brothers: Rafael and wife Veronica Gutierrez of Lovington, NM, Ray and wife Monica Gutierrez of Hobbs, NM, Chris and wife Elia Gonzalez of Hobbs, NM, Jose Gutierrez of Hobbs, NM and Hugo and wife Monica Legarrea of Durango, Mexico; four sisters: Jasmine and husband Ricardo Carrillo of Hobbs, NM, Ana Lucia and husband Luis Pena, Margarita and husband Juan Carlos Miranda of Seagraves, TX, and Alejandra Lopez of Lubbock, TX. Visitation will be on Monday, February 1, 2016 from 10:00 am until services start at 12:00 noon at the Primera Iglesia Bautista. Condolences may be sent to www.kirbysmithrogers.
