Obituary of Juana Gutierrez Campuzano

Juana Gutierrez Campuzano March 25, 1921 - June 01, 2010 Funeral services for Juana Gutierrez de Campuzano, 89, will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2010 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Hobbs at 2:00 pm with Father Ruben Romero officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Rosary will be at 7:00 pm Friday, June 04, 2010 at Kirby-Smith-Rogers Chapel in Lovington. Mrs. Campuzano was born in El Tule, Chihuahua, Mexico on March 25, 1921 to Jose Maria and Guadalupe (Martinez) Gutierrez and passed away Tuesday, June 1, 2010 in Hobbs. She married Rudolfo Campuzano in 1941 in El Tula, Chihuahua. She made her home in California and then in Lea County since 1981. She was widowed very young and raised her children as a single mom. She was a strong woman and made sure she took good care of her children and she was a loving woman to all of her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son and two daughters, two grandchildren and one great-grandson. She is survived by one son: Agustin and wife Maria Luisa Compuzano of Ontario, CA; two daughters: Elena and husband Jesus Garcia of Ontario, CA and Alicia and husband Oscar Jurado of Hobbs, NM; one brother: Jose Maria Gutierrez of Mexico. She also leaves behind 22 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren including “Memo”, “La Negra”, “Eufenia”, and “Blanca”. Services are being conducted by Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home.
