Obituary of Ruben Madrid

Ruben Madrid August 07, 1953 - February 08, 2008 A memorial service for Ruben Madrid, 54, of Hobbs will be 10:00 am Thursday, February 14, 2008 at Oasis Christian Fellowship in Carlsbad, New Mexico with Pastor Albert Alvarez officiating. Burial will be at Loving Cemetery. Mr. Madrid was born on August 7, 1953 in Loving, New Mexico. He passed away February 8, 2008 in Lovington, New Mexico. He married Margie Lujan Madrid on April 27, 1979 in Carlsbad, New Mexico. Mr. Madrid enjoyed working on antique cars, going to car shows, collecting and building model cars and fishing. He had a passion for music, he enjoyed recording music and loved oldies. He was a big sports fan, his favorite team was the Dallas Cowboys. He is survived by his wife, Margie Madrid of the home; five brothers, Pablo Madrid and wife Mary Lou of Loving, New Mexico, Ralph Madrid and wife Delma of Lovington, New Mexico, Raul Madrid of Las Cruces, New Mexico, Benny Madrid and wife Lupe of Phoenix, Arizona and Michael Madrid of Phoenix, Arizona; three sisters, Sally Madrid of Carlsbad, New Mexico, Sylvia Madrid of Phoenix, Arizona and Veva Gomez and husband Alex of Phoenix, Arizona; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjno and Trodora Madrid.
