Perlene Murray Madron July 10, 1933 - March 18, 2016 Funeral services for Perlene Murray Madron, 82, of Hobbs, NM will be held on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home in Lovington, NM. Burial will follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park Cemetery in Hobbs, NM at 3:00 pm. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Mrs. Madron was born on July 10, 1933 in Dustin, OK to William M. and Cora (Perryman) Kirkendall and passed away in Hobbs on March 18, 2016. She grew up and attended school in Dustin, OK. She married Edward Madron in Florence, AZ on December 29, 1951 and after his death, she married Wilburn Murray in Muskogee, OK in 2003. She was employed by La Siesta Nursing Home for many years in Hobbs as a CNA. Perlene was a very good cook and loved spoiling her family and especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed fishing, redecorating the house and was good at crafts and sewing and made the kids clothes when they were small. She loved the old-time country music and had lots of DVD’s of the old time musicians. She enjoyed puzzle books and liked watching “Family Feud”. She loved to laugh and was loved by many. She will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; two sons: Edward Lee and Donald James; one sister: Della Baker and one brother: James Kirkendall. Surviving her are three sons: Michael Madron; Bobby and wife Debra Madron and David Madron all of Hobbs; one brother: Johnny and wife Bea Kirkendall of VanBuren, Arkansas; and one sister: Melissa Murray of Casa Grande, AZ. Also six sister-in-laws and her very special brother-in-law, Walter and wife Margie Madron of Hobbs and her good friend who was like a sister to her, Lois Bates; twelve grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 21, 2016 from 10:00 am until 8:00 pm at the funeral home
