Earl B. Mauldin April 30, 1926 - December 02, 2009 Funeral services for Earl B. Mauldin, 83, of Lovington will be held on Friday, December 4, 2009 at 2:00 pm at Jackson Ave Baptist Church with Bro. Dave Rowser and John Curry officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Services are being directed by Kirby-Smith- Rogers Funeral Home. Mr. Mauldin was born in Cottle County, Texas on April 30, 1926 to F. S. & Mattie (Ragsdale) Mauldin and passed away on December 2, 2009 at Nor-Lea Hospital. He married Thoma (Rister) Mauldin in Lovington on September 23, 1949 and they shared 60 years of memories. Earl came to Lovington in 1949 and owned and operated Mauldin Plumbing until his retirement. He was a 46 year member of Jackson Ave Baptist Church serving as deacon and also served in many other capacities during those years. His joy was doing mission trips and he and Thoma traveled many miles doing mission work. He was a loving family man with a good sense of humor and a people person as he enjoyed visiting with everyone he saw. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter; Kathryn Mauldin and one brother; Glenn Mauldin. He is survived by his wife, Thoma of the home; two sons: David and wife Susie Mauldin of Lovington, NM and Richard and wife Denise Mauldin of Perryton, TX; four daughters: Carol and husband Robert Floyd of Lovington, NM; Jeanie and husband Glenn Gainey of Kermit, TX; Lynn and husband John Curry of Crane, TX and Shelley and husband Eddie Carter of Sundown, TX; one brother: Gayle and wife Louise Mauldin of Lovington, NM; two sisters: Nelline Wyche of Albuquerque, NM and LaVerne and husband Carlton Bratcher of Apache Junction, AZ; fourteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and a host of friends. Visitation will be Thursday, Dec. 3rd from noon until 8:00 pm.
