Betty Lois McGuire February 21, 1931 - January 22, 2008 Funeral services for Betty Lois McGuire of Lovington, NM will be 1:00 pm Thursday, January 24, 2008 at Kirby-Smith-Rogers Chapel. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday, January 23, 2008 from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Thursday, January 24, 2008 from 8:00 am to service time. Mrs. McGuire, 76, died Tuesday, January 22, 2008 in Hobbs, NM. She was born February 21, 1931 in Mason, TX. She married James “Pete” McGuire on June 4, 1978 in Mexico. Mrs. McGuire enjoyed needlework, doing yard work and going to horse races. She loved her family. Survivors include her husband, James “Pete” McGuire of the home; tow sons, James Davis of Celebration, Florida and Patrick Mouton of Redondo Beach, California; one daughter, Cathy Bailey of Hobbs, NM; one brother, Tommy Schuessler and wife Cindy of Kingsland, TX; two sisters, Marge Seedorf of Alamagordo, NM and Lila King and husband Tom of Carlsbad, NM; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Ollie Elizabeth Schuessler; one brother; and one sister, Mary White.
