McGuire 83, of Hobbs, NM will be held on Monday, October 31, 2011 at Lovington Cemetery at 2:00 pm with Gene Rucker officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. James was born on October 13, 1928 in Clarksville, Texas to Thermon and Clara (Baker) McGuire and passed away on October 28, 2011 in Hobbs. James married Betty Maddox on June 4, 1978 in Mexico. James and Betty shared over 30 years together. James worked in the oilfield for over 62yrs. He enjoyed horse racing and loved spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Betty. He is survived by One Daughter: Carolyn and husband Lupe Huerta of Hobbs, NM. One Sister Wanda Bullard, of Clarksville, TX. One Grandson: Matlock and wife Kaci Oldham Of Hobbs, NM. Two Stepsons: Patrick Mouton and James Davis. One step daughter: Kathy Bailey. Three great grand children Taelor, Katy, and Riley. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Sunday from 1-6 and on Monday from 8:30- until time of service at Kirby-Smith-Rogers Chapel.
