Obituary of Jacquelin Carson

Jacquelin Carson December 01, 1925 - October 26, 2013 Memorial services for Jacquelin “Jacque” Carson, 87, of Lovington, NM will be held on Friday, November 1, 2013 at 2:30 pm at First United Methodist Church with Andrew Caudal officiating. Jacque was born on December 1, 1925 in Fort Scott, Kansas to Norman and Dessie (Getz) Young and saw Jesus face to face on Saturday, October 26, 2013. She passed away in Lubbock, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Jacque married Clyde Franklin Carson in Fort Scott, Kansas on May 23, 1943 and they came to Lovington in 1954 and started Master Printers. Jacque ran the business until she was 79 years of age and retired in 2006. She enjoyed crocheting blankets for all of her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and embroidering tea towels for all the family and friends. She was very good at crossword puzzles; she never forgot a birthday and always sent cards. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and Nor-Lea Hospital Auxiliary. Jacque was well known for her interesting hats and purses and she will be missed by her family and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother, and her long-time companion and friend, Bob Wollard. She is survived by one son: Ron and wife Janet Carson of Lovington; three daughters: Jackie and husband Lanny Wheeler of Lubbock, TX; Margery and husband Alan Dimsha of Lovington and Christi and husband Robert Costello of Lovington. Also surviving her are twelve grandchildren and thirty three great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made in Jacque’s name to First United Methodist Church, PO Box 745, Lovington, NM 88260.
