Obituary of Ernestina B. Mendoza

Ernestina B. Mendoza July 26, 1938 - March 22, 2017 Funeral services for Ernestina B. Mendoza, 78, of Lovington, NM will be held on Monday, March 27, 2017 at 10:00 am at St. Thomas Catholic Church with Father Ricardo Bauza officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Ernestina was born in Beeville, TX. on July 26, 1938 to Manuel and Basilia (Rodriguez) Borjas and passed away on March 22, 2017 at Nor-Lea Hospital. Ernestina loved flowers; sewing and enjoyed music and cooking. She was a very good cook and she especially liked her novelas and doing crossword puzzles. She was preceded in death by her husband: Antonio Longoria; her parents: Manuel and Basilia Borjas; two sons: Chuy Jr. and Valentine Herrera; two brothers: Angel and Dario Borjas; one granddaughter: Marina Herrera and one grandson: Manuel Villegas Jr. She is survived by three daughters: Gabriela Lucero of Lovington, NM, Teodora and husband Salvador Ornelas of Lovington, NM and Maria la Luz and husband Antonio Rangel of Randall, TX; four brothers: Manuel Borjas Jr. of Grand Praire, TX; Raymon and wife Dolores Borjas of Wally, TX; Tilano Borjas of Arlington, TX, and Albert Borjas of Leonard, TX; three sisters: Victoria and husband Jesus Nino of Arlington, TX; Guadalupe Perez of Leonard, TX and Josie and husband Ralph Escamila of McKinny ,TX. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 26, from noon until after Rosary. Rosary will be at 6:00 pm at Kirby-Smith-Rogers Chapel.
