Watch the Tribute Maria Alicia Miranda August 10, 1928 - February 17, 2012 Funeral services for Maria Miranda, 83, of Hobbs, NM will be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at St. Thomas Catholic Church at 2:00 pm with burial to follow at Lovington Cemetery. Rosary will be Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at 7:00 pm at Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Mrs. Miranda was born on August 10, 1928 in Celaya, Guanajuato, Mexico and passed away at her home on February 17, 2012. She was a homemaker and enjoyed being with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Marcelino Miranda; one son: Joe Lewis, one daughter: Esther Baeza and one brother: Miguel Villagomez. She is survived by three sons: Ruben and wife Rosa Miranda of Alamogordo, Bill and wife Lorraine Miranda of Rockford, IL, and Manuel and wife Blanca Miranda of Lovington; five daughters: Angie and husband Ishmael Gomez of Hobbs, NM; Maria and husband John Robinson of St. Paul, MN; Elaine Miranda of Princeton, NJ; Susan Callahan of Rockford, Il. and Sally Scott of Denver City, TX; One brother: Soccorro Villagomez of Salida, Mexico and one sister: Maria Louisa Villagomez of Mexico City, Mexico; 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 21, 2012 from 8:30 am until 8:00 pm at the funeral home and Wednesday, February 22, 2012 from 8:30 until 1:30 pm.
