Obituary of Maria Carmen Molinar

Maria Carmen Molinar September 05, 1935 - October 15, 2014 Funeral services for Maria Carmen Molinar 79, of Lovington, NM will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at 10:00 am at St. Thomas Catholic Church with Father Redentor Molina officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Rosary will be Friday, October 17, 2014 at 7:00 pm at St. Thomas Catholic Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Mrs. Molinar was born September 5, 1935 in El Mulato, Mexico to Gumercindo and Encarnacion (Vizcaino) Acosta and passed away in Lubbock, Texas on October 15, 2014. Maria liked the out doors she liked working on her yard and plants. She was also well know for her sweet tea and famous beans. She was preceded in death by her parents; Gumercindo and Encarnacion one sister: Ambrosia Marquez; three brothers: Apolinar, Oscar, and Jesus Acosta. She is survived by her husband Manuel Molinar of Lovington, NM; two sons: Hector and wife Amy Molinar of Lovington, NM and Auden and wife Scarlett Molinar of Lovington, NM; five daughters: Gloria Torres of Lovington, NM, Erminia Alvarado of Lovington, NM, Amanda and husband Rogelio Hernandez of Lovington, NM, Ermelinda and husband Ramiro Juarez of Lovington, NM, and Veronica Molinar and Angel Vasquez of Odessa, Tx.; four brothers: Hilario Acosta of Terlingua, Texas, Severiano Acosta of Lovington, NM, Ricardo Acosta of Carlsbad, NM, and Joe Acosta of El Paso, Tx.; four sisters: Clarita Gonzalez of Ft. Stockton, Tx., Reyes Acosta, Braulia Arenivas, and Emilia Espinoza all of Lovington, NM. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17, 2014 from 10:00 am until rosary time.
