Obituary of David Moreno

David Moreno March 11, 1965 - October 07, 2016 Funeral services for David Moreno, 51, of Brownfield, TX and formerly of Lovington, NM will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at 2:00 pm at St. Thomas Catholic Church with Father Redentor Molina officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Mr. Moreno was born on March 11, 1965 in Lovington to Marcelo M. and Mary (Peppin) Moreno and passed away in Plains, TX on October 7, 2016. David was raised in Lovington and attended school here. He served in the Army National Guard for several years. His favorite thing to do was to go fishing. He enjoyed playing cards and going to the casino. He was a quiet person, a loner, and was more serious minded but liked to have family meetings. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister: Susan Moreno. Surviving him are his two sons: David Moreno Jr. of Kansas City, KS and Michael Silvas Moreno of Lovington; two brothers: Marcelo Jr. and wife Jolene Moreno of Hobbs and Isaac Frank Moreno of Lovington; four sisters: Mary and husband Jose M. Rivera of Tokio, TX ; Elizabeth and husband Rafael Sigala of Plains, TX; Tammy and husband Frank Garza of Lovington ; Rosalee Talbot of Lovington and one granddaughter, Isabela Moreno. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 11, 2016 from 10:00 am until Rosary time, which will be at 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
