Obituary of Martha Lorene Mullins

Watch the Tribute Martha Lorene Mullins August 10, 1921 - March 08, 2012 Funeral services for Martha Mullins, 90, of Tatum, NM will be held on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Tatum First Baptist Church with Bro. Wayne Brazil officiating. Burial will follow at Tatum Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Mrs. Mullins was born on August 10, 1921 in Spur, Texas to Joe Clifford and Birdie Blanche (Hobbs) Davis and passed away at her home on March 8, 2012. She was married to Ben J Mullins on Dec 19, 1936 in Matador, Texas. She was a military wife for over 20 years and was also in the restaurant business for many years, but most of all, she was a homemaker for her family. She was President of the Woman’s Club in Germany, played the guitar and entertained for her family and friends, was an avid “42” player and loved traveling. Buster, her rat terrier, her beloved pet at the time of her passing, was her great companion for many years. She has resided in Tatum over 44 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two daughters: Barbara Ann Evans and Glenda Sue Rogers; four grandchildren: David Mullins, Donald Mullins Jr., Richard Wayne Mullins Sr. and Jill Campbell. Also, one brother, Frank Davis and one sister, Judy DeMoss. She is survived by three sons: Billy Jean and wife Margaret “Peggy” Mullins of West Virginia; Bennie and his late wife Carol Mullins of Missouri; Donald Wayne and wife Mary Ann Mullins of Tatum, NM and one daughter: Kathy Lou and husband Bill Porter of Colorado; one son-in-law, Pervis Evans of San Jose, CA.; 23 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 36 great-great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be on Monday, March 12th from noon until 8:00 pm and on Tuesday, from 8:00 am until noon.
