Obituary of Janie R. Munoz

Munoz February 09, 1918 - July 16, 2013 Funeral services for Janie (Juanita) Munoz, 95, of Lovington, NM will be held Friday, July 19, 2013 at 10:00 am at St. Thomas Catholic Church with Father Molina officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Janie was born on February 9, 1918 in Westoff, Texas to Pedro and Victoria (Torrez) Ramirez and passed away on July 16, 2013 at Nor Lea General Hospital In Lovington, NM. Janie was a loving mother she was very active and her life was her family. She loved her plants and was a member of the Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, and one great granddaughter Alyssa Martinez. She is survived by five sons: Ted and wife Tencha Munoz, Roy and wife Julia Munoz, Jesse and wife Frances Munoz, Israel and wife Mary Ann Munoz, and Saul and wife Mary Ann Munoz; one daughter: Mary and husband Felipe Navarrette; three sisters: Teresa Munoz, Lillie Rocha, and Vicky and husband Santos Garza; thirty-three grandchildren, sixty seven great grandchildren, and fourteen great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday, July 18, 2013 from 3:30 pm until Rosary time. Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm at St. Thomas Catholic Church. Condolences may be sent to www.kirbysmithrogers.Com.
