Obituary of Peggy Northcott

Peggy Northcott October 23, 1931 - October 03, 2010 Funeral services for Peggy Laverne Northcott, 78, of Lovington, NM will be held on Thursday, October 7, 2010 at 11:00 am at Revival Center Church with Bro. Wayne Villar officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Services are being conducted by Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Peggy was born on October 23, 1931 in Randlett, Oklahoma to Thomas Rayburn and Lula Mae (Maxwell) Bowles and passed away on Sunday, October 3rd at her residence. Peggy had been a resident of Lovington since 1952 and had been co-owner of Man Welding before her retirement. She enjoyed gardening, traveling with her grandchildren, enjoyed watching OU play and horse racing. She married Robert Northcott in Lovington on May 23, 1991. She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter: Carol Bunce; one sister: Buena Mae Bowles and two brothers: Alvin Eugene and Austin Montgomery Bowles. She is survived by her husband, Robert of the home, two sons: Steve and wife Catherine Carter of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Larry and wife Telene Carter of Lovington, NM; three brothers: Thomas and wife Eleanor Bowles of Lewisville, TX; Gerald R. Bowles of Eclectic, Alabama; and Patrick and wife Barbara Bowles of Tyler, TX; one sister: Patricha Smith of Balmorhea, TX. Also five sister-in laws: Debbie and husband Mike Ray of Edgewood, NM; Shirley and husband James Hunn; Janice and husband Michael Bayer, Myra and husband, Bert Kretzschmar and Robin Wood, all of Bryan, TX; and a host of friends.
