Watch the Tribute Humberto Olivas January 04, 1950 - January 23, 2011 Humberto Olivas, 61, of Lovington was born on January 4, 1950 in Nonuava, Chihuahua, Mexico to Nicanor and Eustacia (Villalobos) Olivas and passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2011 at his residence. Funeral services will be held later this week in Cd. Delicias, Chihuahua, Mexico with burial at Pantion Municipal. Rosary will be held in Lovington, New Mexico at Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at 7:00 pm and visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 25, 2011 from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm and Wednesday from 8:00 am until rosary time. Mr. Olivas married Carmen Levario on December 9, 1978 in Delicias, Chihuahua. He was a farmhand and loved agriculture. He wanted to have and work his own land and came to the United States in 1972. He accomplished that mission and enjoyed working around his home and barn. \ He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Nicanor Jr. and Elias Cruz Olivas. He is survived by his wife Carmen of the home, two sons: Humberto Jr and wife Nancy Olivas of Midland, Texas and Sergio Olivas of Lovington, NM and one daughter: Diana Olivas and husband Jerome D. Romero of Albuquerque, NM; six sisters: Melquiades Olivas, Elisa Olivas and Elviro Olivas, all of Delicias and Maria de los Angeles Olivas and husband Catalino Garcia of Guadalajara, Mexico and Blanca Olivas and husband Manuel Miranda of Lovington, NM. and one granddaughter, Christina Romero of Albuquerque.
