Obituary of Natalie Lois Orand

Natalie Lois Orand June 07, 1921 - October 29, 2012 Funeral services for Natalie Lois Orand, 91, of Lovington, NM will be held on Thursday, November 1, 2012 at 3:00 pm at Lovington Cemetery with David Stewart officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Mrs. Orand was born on June 6, 1921 in Bandera County, Texas to Charles Scott and Allen Eugenia (Tobey) Fee and passed away at her home in Lovington on October 29, 2012. She married Sebastian C. Orand on July 10, 1943 in Ennis, Texas and they shared 68 years together. Natalie had a Master’s Degree in Education and taught school for over 42 years. She taught Home Economics and also the 3rd grade in Texas and after moving to Lovington in 1967, she taught Social Studies at Central Junior High. She was an outdoors person and enjoyed camping, fishing, arrowhead hunting, and was an avid golfer. She was a member of AAUW, Delta Kappa Gamma and the Order of Eastern Star. She loved her Ocotillo Ladies Golf Association. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband and one sister, Oneta Fee Runk. She is survived by her daughter, Judy and husband Tommy Embree of Lovington and one grandson, James Embree of Lovington; one brother: Charles and wife Joan Fee of Sun City, AZ and one sister: Alta Blix Gammenthaler of The Woodlands, TX. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 31, 2012 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Thursday, November 1, 2012 from 8:30 am until 1:30 pm. Condolences may be sent to www.kirbysmithrogers.com
