Obituary of Norman Lavelle Owen

Norman Lavelle Owen November 28, 1927 - July 18, 2013 Norman Lavelle Owen, 85, of Lovington, NM passed away July, 18, 2013 at Nor-Lea General Hospital. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Mr. Owen was born on November 28, 1927 in Snyder, Texas to William Douglas and Mabel (Teeters) Owen. He moved to Lovington in 1951 and had worked for Atlantic Richfield in Denver City, TX until his retirement. He married Beatrice Griffin in Lovington on January 21, 1992. Norman served in The United States Air Force and attended First Christian Church in earlier years. He has requested cremation so there will be no visitation. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister: Verna Ferris and one son: Darrell Owen. He is survived by his wife Bea of Lovington; one daughter Cheryl Owen and one brother: Noel Douglas Owen of Portales, NM; two grandchildren: Alyssa and Isiah Hernandez.
