Obituary of Domingo Leyva Pando

Domingo Leyva Pando, Sr. October 18, 1936 - December 15, 2014 Funeral services for Domingo L. Pando, 78, of Lovington, NM will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at 2:00 pm at St. Thomas Catholic Church with Father Redentor Molina officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Mr. Pando was born on October 18, 1936 in La Hacienda, Chihuahua, Mexico to Carlos and Cleofas Pando and passed away on December 15, 2014 at his home. Domimgo liked gardening and taking care of birds. He enjoyed being around his family and watching the 49er’s play football. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter: Mary Lou Cardona; three brothers: Atilano, Salvador, and Martin; three sisters: Esperanza Rodriguez, Rita Aguilar, and Maria Garcia. He is survived by his wife, Dolores Pando of Lovington, NM; three sons: Jose Garza of Lovington, NM, James and wife Rosa Pando of Lovington, NM, and Domingo Jr and wife Tiffany Pando of Lovington, NM; two daughters: Adelaida Pando of Lovington, NM, and Andrea and husband Adam Madrid of Odessa, TX; one brother Carlos and wife, Evangelina Pando Jr. of Hobbs, NM four sisters: Cruzita and husband Telco Tarin of Odessa, TX, Reyes Rey of Lovington, NM, Adelaida Pando of Lovington, NM, and Frances and husband Jose Perales of Mission, TX, eighteen grandchildren and twenty nine great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 22, 2014 from 10:00 am until rosary time. Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm at St. Thomas Catholic Church.
