Obituary of Michael Earl Pennington

Watch the Tribute Michael Earl Pennington May 02, 1961 - May 12, 2011 Funeral services for Michael Pennington, 50, of Lovington, will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Revival Center Church with Wayne Villar and Leo Pennington officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith- Rogers Funeral Home. Mr. Pennington was born on May 2, 1961 in Beeville, Texas to Billy Earl and Elaine (Boehe) Pennington and passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2011. He married Mary Becker on February 15, 2011 in Carrizozo, NM. Michael was employed by Silver Oak Drilling Company. He was a Hobbs High school graduate and played football and was on the debate team while there. He enjoyed trees, forestry, gardening and was an avid reader. He enjoyed audio books, writing poetry and many other types of writings. He was a very intelligent man and loved his family. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Mary Pennington of Lovington, one brother, Sam and wife Jacqueline Pennington of Hobbs, NM and one sister, Angela and husband Dean Parent of Lovington, NM and several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 18th from 8:30 am until 8:00 pm at the funeral home and Thursday, May 19th from 8:30 am until 12:30
