Obituary of Shawn Dale Pollock

Shawn Dale Pollock February 08, 1976 - May 17, 2014 Memorial services for Shawn Dale Pollock, 38, of Lovington, NM will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Trinity Baptist Church with Carl Dawson, Pastor of Key Church of God, officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Shawn was born on February 8, 1976 in Hobbs, NM to Melvin Lee and LaWanda Fern (Jackson) Pollock and passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2014 as a result of a vehicle accident. Shawn was raised in Lovington and graduated from Lovington High School. He enjoyed fishing, camping, cooking out and spending time with his family and friends. He liked playing video games and was learning to play the guitar. He loved Harley Davidson cycles, eagles, wolves and dragons and was considered a “shadetree” mechanic. He was employed by DCC Services of Hobbs, NM. Shawn was the type of person that made friends easily and would do anything for anyone. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Ava Pollock and John Wesley and Donie Jackson. He is survived by his mother and stepdad, LaWanda and Rodney Tanner of Lovington; his fianceé, Crystal Fisher of Lovington; two daughters: Elizabeth Maryjane and Jolene ShaNallie Fisher both of Lovington; one stepson: Shawn Douglas Fisher of Lovington and one brother: Chane Allen Jackson of Hobbs, NM and two sisters: Kristine Anne Pollock of Hobbs and Joel Chessletia Jackson of Clarksville, Arkansas and a host of friends.
