Misael Cruz Ponce November 11, 1939 - September 14, 2007 Funeral services for Misael Ponce, 67, of Lovington, NM are 2:00 pm Monday, September 17, 2007 at Kirby-Smith-Rogers Chapel with Pastor Ken Davis and Pastor Moises Ponce officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Mr. Ponce was born November 11, 1939 in Tlalchapa, Guerrero, Mexico. He passed away September 14, 2007 in Lovington, New Mexico. He married Martha Ponce on December 5, 1979 in Los Angeles, California. Misael moved to Lovington from Los Angeles, California about 15 years ago. He is a devoted member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church and was employed by Gandy’s in Lovington. He loved his family and his grandchildren were a source of delight to him. His church and family were his life. Survivors include his wife Martha Ponce of the home; three daughters, Ruth Elena Robledo and husband Jose of Lovington, NM, Wendy Ponce of Lovington, NM, and Aracely Ponce and husband Francisco Garcia Jr. of Lovington, NM; six sisters, Martha Ponce and husband David Sanchez of Morelos, Mexico, Abigail and husband Francisco Adame of Downey, CA, Febe Ponce and husband Juvencio Bernal of Mexico City, Dalilah Ponce and husband Domingo Perez of Rio Bravo, Tamaulipas, Elia Mesa of Riverside, CA and Aceneth Montenegro and husband Nestor of Los Angeles, CA; one brother, Jonas Ponce and wife Orra Hernandez of Tlalchapa, Guerrero, Mexico; five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Salvador and Bernardina Ponce; and one step-brother, Caleb Ponce.
