Obituary of Remijio Porras

Watch the Tribute Remijio Porras October 10, 1925 - April 21, 2011 Funeral services for Remijio Porras, 85, of Lovington, will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2011 at 3:00 pm at Revival Center Church with Severo Gaytan officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Mr. Porras was born in Redford, TX on October 10, 1925 to Serapio and Ysadora Porras and passed away at his residence on Thursday, April 21, 2011. He was married to Leonor Aranda for 65 years. He worked in the oilfield before his retirement. He enjoyed driving with his grandchildren, gardening and loved wrestling. He was a hardworking man and was a good provider for his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son: Jesus Jose Porras a sister, Rafaela Carrasco Porras and one brother Jesus Porras. He is survived by his wife, Leonor of the home; three sons: Remijio Jr., Victor, and Javier Porras and one daughter; Delma Rodriguez. Also one sister; Amelia Ortega Porras; 14 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Condolences may be sent to www.kirbysmithrogers.com.
