Obituary of Pamela Wallace Pruit

Pamela Wallace Pruit March 19, 1949 - July 17, 2018 Memorial graveside services for Pamela Wallace Pruit, 69, of Midlothian, TX and formerly of Lovington and Hobbs, NM will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Lovington Cemetery with David Stewart officiating. Friends are invited to join the family right after the graveside for a reception at First United Methodist Church. Pam was born on March 19, 1949 in Clovis, NM to Clarence and Marjorie (Oswald) Wallace and passed away on July 17, 2018 at Baylor Medical Center in the presence of her family. Pam was married to John R. Pruit on July 2, 1968 and they shared fifty years of life, love and family together. She was a graduate of NMJC and the College of the Southwest in Hobbs, NM. She retired from a lifelong career as a teacher in 2011. She touched the lives of many students in Lovington Municipal School, Grand Prairie ISD, TX and Midlothian ISD, TX. She was an active member of Creekside Church and participated in several ministries. She greeted each day with joy and shared that joy with her family and her many friends. Preceding her in death were her parents, Clarence and Marjorie Wallace. Surviving Pam is her husband, John; two children: Ross and wife Shanna Pruit and Amy (Pruit) and husband Mike Harmon; three grandchildren: Tyler Pruit, Rowan Pruit and John L. Pruit and two sisters: Jeannie McCraw and husband Joe and Martha Castillo and husband Steve. “For I know the plans I have for you”, declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11.
