Weldon Reid March 16, 1926 - February 28, 2014 Graveside funeral services for Weldon Reid, 87, of Pflugerville, TX and formerly of Lovington, NM will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2014 at 11:00 am at Lovington Cemetery with Stan Reid officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Mr. Reid was born in Nathan, Arkansas on March 16, 1926 to Theodore and Osie (Rooks ) Reid and passed away at Pflugerville, TX on Friday, February 28, 2014. He married Ida Bernice Williams on May 8, 1948 in DeQueen, Arkansas. Mr. Reid was employed by Natural Gas Pipeline Co as a district welder for over thirty years. He was a member of Third and Central Church of Christ and served as an elder at one time. He served his country in the US Army during WWII. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and two brothers: Veldon and James Earl Reid. He is survived by two sons: Stan and wife Laynne Reid of Pflugerville, TX and Gary and wife Karyn Reid of Rico, Colorado; two grandchildren: Alisha Reid Ward and husband Justin and Allison Reid Bains and husband Brandon and four great-grandchildren: Grayson and Peyton Ward and Sailor and Saxon Bains. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 5, 2014 from 9:00 am until 6:00 pm at the funeral home.
