Ima Jean Clayton February 01, 1925 - November 18, 2012 Graveside funeral services for Ima Jean Clayton, 87, of Lovington, will be held on Friday, November 23, 2012 at 11:00 am at Lovington Cemetery with David Stewart officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Mrs. Clayton was born in Charleston, Arkansas on February 1, 1925 to Chester and Susie (Brooks) Pearson and passed away on November 18, 2012 at Lovington Good Samaritan Center. She married Albert J. Clayton in Boonville, Arkansas on December 13, 1941. Ima Jean was a homemaker and enjoyed making chocolate pies and Cherry cobblers for her family. She enjoyed garage sales, collecting antiques, crocheting and quilting. Her happiness came from being with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two sisters: Irene Workman and Sue White. She is survived by one son: J. D. and wife Linda Clayton of Lovington and two daughters: Julia and husband Terry Taylor of San Angelo, TX and Susie Taylor of Lovington; one brother: Freddie Pearson of Boonville, Arkansas and one sister: Joyce and husband Charles Sutherland of Ft. Smith, Arkansas. Also eight grandchildren, twenty one great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 21st from 2pm until 5pm and on Thursday, from 4 pm until 8pm.
