Lavelle Robertson November 28, 1917 - March 14, 2007 Funeral service for Lavelle Robertson, 89, of Hobbs and formerly of Lovington, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 19, 2007, at Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home Chapel. Bill Hagen will officiate. Burial will be at Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday, March 17, from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., and Sunday, March 18, from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Born November 28, 1917 at Overbrook, Oklahoma, she passed away March 14, at her Hobbs residence. She was married to George Roberston on December 7, 1946, in Ft. Sumner. She was manager for Wackers for 22 years and also had been employed at TG and Y and at Alco. She enjoyed gardening and won several ribbons at the fair for her canned products through the years. Survivors include a son, Jerry and his wife, Helen Heckathorn of Reno, Nevada; two daughters, Leta and her husband, Duane Farmer of Camp Verde, Arizona, and Ann and her husband, Danny Hobbs Sr. of Hobbs; a sister, Lyda Mae Borden of Portales; 12 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents, Alexander and Estella Conaway; two brothers, Elton and James Conaway; and a sister, Pauline George.
