Obituary of Thomas Ortega Roblez

Thomas Ortega Roblez March 29, 1969 - February 07, 2017 Memorial services for Thomas Ortega Roblez, 47, of Lovington, NM will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 11:00 am at Kirby-Smith-Rogers Chapel with Bro. Matt Ray officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Thomas was born on March 29, 1969 in Artesia, NM to Frank James Roblez and Emma Ortega and passed away at his home in Lovington on February 7, 2017. He grew up in Artesia, Roswell and Alamogordo and had lived in Lovington for several years. In 1986 he served his country by joining the US Army. Thomas enjoyed traveling, camping and fishing, and he loved the mountains. He was a lover of many types of music and one of his joys in life was reading. He also enjoyed being on the internet. When he was young he played football, little league baseball and Boy Scouts. Thomas did contract carpentry and especially like frame work. He was very intelligent and will be deeply missed. He was preceded in death by his father and twin sisters, Janie Carmen and Diana Marie Roblez. Surviving him is his mother: Emma Ortega of Lovington; two daughters: Amanda and Sarah Roblez both of Mission, South Dakota and two brothers: Nick and Francisco Roblez, both of Lovington and one sister: Monica Sally and husband Cristobal Aguilar of Lake Arthur, NM; six grandchildren and three nephews and five nieces. Rosary will be on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 10:00 am at Kirby-Smith-Rogers Chapel.
