Obituary of Angela Ruth Benge

Watch the Tribute Angela Ruth Benge February 21, 1959 - March 26, 2011 Funeral services for Angela Ruth “Angie” Benge, 52, of Lovington, NM will be held on Friday, April 1, 2011 at 2:00 pm at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Vergil Ichtertz officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Services are being conducted by Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Angie was born on February 21, 1959 in Hobbs, NM to John Edward and Wanetto (Phelps) Benge and passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2011 in Lovington, NM. She was raised in Lovington and attended school here graduating from Lovington High School in 1977. She had two Associates degrees and was employed by the Lea County Court House in the clerk’s office as a recording secretary for the past 14 years. She was a long time active member of First United Methodist Church, was chairman of the SPRC committee at church and played in the Bell Choir. She enjoyed crafts and puzzles but most importantly, she enjoyed helping other people. She was a giving and loving person who loved her family and friends very much. She was preceded in death by her father, John Benge. She is survived by two sons: Bryan and fiancée Morgan Bailey and Nick Hanks, all of Lovington and her mother, Wanetto Benge of Lovington; three brothers: Dr. Ed and wife Patsy Benge of Albuquerque, NM and Dr. Bill and wife Linda Benge of Chicago, IL and Glen and wife Laurie Benge of The Woodlands, TX.; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to First United Methodist Church , General Fund, 407 North Main, Lovington, NM 88260. Visitation will be Thursday, March 31, 2011 from 8:30 am until 8:00 pm.
