James "Jim" Tracy Rogers September 02, 1948 - April 16, 2008 Funeral services for James “Jim” Tracy Rogers, 59, will be 10:00 am Monday, April 21, 2008 at Bethel Baptist Church at Knowles with Jimmy Charles Crawford, Pastor officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Mr. Rogers was born on September 2, 1948 in Lovington, NM. He passed away on April 16, 2008 in Lovington, NM. He married Kathy Morrison Rogers on May 17, 1974 in Odessa, TX. This was Jim’s 35th year working for Tuboscope. He loved working and was a valued employee. He Loved family gatherings, was a dedicated family man raising his children and grandchildren. He at one time belonged to the Knowles Volunteer Fire Department, was a 22 year member of Bethel Baptist Church, & was an enthusiastic sponsor of 4-H. He is survived by one son, Jason Rogers of Hobbs, NM; one brother, Mark McCloud and wife Debbie of Lubbock, TX; two sisters, Kathleen Sims and husband Edward of Converse, TX and Tamara McCloud of Abilene, TX; two grandchildren, Treycee Heckard and Brianna Heckard of Hobbs, NM; numerous cousins, two aunts and one uncle. He was preceded in death by his parents, Archie and Esther Rogers; his wife, Kathy Rogers; his daughter, Kristi Rogers; one sister, Byra Lynn Backus; and one brother, Tim McCloud.
