Obituary of Jose Ignacio Salcido

Jose Ignacio Salcido July 31, 1921 - February 01, 2008 Rosary services for Jose Ignacio Salcido, 86, of Lovington will be held Sunday, February 3, 2008 at 7:00 pm at St. Thomas Catholic Church. Mass will be held Monday, February 4, 2008 at 2:00 pm at St. Thomas Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday, February 2, 2008 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Sunday, February 3, 2008 from 1:00 pm until Rosary and Monday, February 4, 2008 from 8:00 am until Mass. Mr. Salcido passed away Friday, February 1, 2008 in Lovington. He was born July 31, 1921 in La Cruz, Chihuahua, Mexico. He married Socorro Salcido. Mr. Salcido is survived by five sons, Antonio Salcido of Artesia, New Mexico, Ramon Salcido of Lovington, New Mexico, Jose Salcido Jr. and his wife Gillie of Lovington, New Mexico, Ignacio Salcido and his wife Rosario of Lovington, New Mexico and Ismael Salcido and his wife Antonia of Lovington; three daughters, Luz Dominguez and her husband Dolores of Corraleños de Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico, Rosa Maria Salcido of Morrieleños La Cruz, Chihuahua, Mexico and Rosaura Magallanes of Las Vegas, Nevada; one brother, Lorenzo Salcido of Delicias, Chihuahua, Mexico; twenty-seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Maria Salcido; his wife Socorro Salcido; one son; two daughters; three grandsons and one granddaughter.
