Obituary of Madison Paige Coe

Madison Paige Coe September 13, 2002 - July 09, 2017 Memorial services for Madison Paige Coe will be held Friday July 14th at 2:00 pm at First United Methodist Church in Lovington with Pastor Matt Bridges officiating. Another service will be held Saturday at 2:00 pm Texas time at King’s Ridge Church of Christ at 4201 98th Street in Lubbock, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Madison was a happy, inquisitive and caring girl who loved bright colors such as orange and coral. The family asks that those attending the service honor Maddie by wearing happy colors. A balloon release in Maddies’s honor will be held on Saturday at 6:30 pm Texas time at Terra Vista Middle School. Madison came into this world on Friday the 13th in September 2002 in Lubbock. She was a ray of sunshine to her parents Angela O’Guinn Downs and step-father Michael Downs of Lubbock and Logan Coe and step-mother Felisha Owens of Lovington, NM. Madison was a loving, caring child who truly cared for her sisters, Layna and Storey Muse both of Lubbock and step-sister Kambrie Owens of Lovington, as well as her brothers Mason Coe of Abilene, Kayson Downs and step-brother Steven Owens of Lubbock. She always had a special relationship with her grandparents, Eddie and Donna O’Guinn of Lubbock and Woody and Susan Coe of Lovington. Maddie was a student at Tierra Vista Middle School where she excelled in her studies and was looking forward to starting high school at League City in the Houston area. She enjoyed the Frenship Basketball program and playing tuba in the Tiger Band. She was also involved in the Robotics club. She was always a sweet and caring young lady who had friends young and old alike and liked every animal she encountered. Following an unfortunate accident, Madison passed away Sunday July 9th at Nor Lea Hospital in Lovington. The family thanks the Lovington Fire Department and First United Methodist Church for their many kindnesses and support, as well the love and support of their friends around Texas. Surviving her is her mother Angela O’Guinn Downs and step-father Michael Downs of Lubbock, TX.; her father Logan Coe and step-mother Felisha Owens of Lovington, NM; sisters: Layna and Storey Muse both of Lubbock, TX. and step-sister Kambrie Owens of Lovington, NM, brothers: Mason Coe of Abilene, TX, Kayson Downs and step-brother Steven Owens of Lubbock; her grandparents: Eddie and Donna O’Guinn of Lubbock TX., and Woody and Susan Coe of Lovington, NM.
