William Harold Lee Cogsdil August 29, 1932 - December 14, 2012 Graveside Services for William H. Cogsdil, of Lovington NM, will be held on Monday, December 17, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Lovington Cemetery with Bobby Rogers officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Mr. Cogsdil was born on August 29, 1932 in Ovalo, TX to Elmer and Georgia (Vinson) Cogsdil and passed away on December 14, 2012 in Lovington, NM. Mr. Cogsdil married Dorothy Cooper on February 5, 1952 in Lovington NM. They enjoyed 60 years of marriage together. Mr. Cogsdil was known as a cowboy and horsemen. To his family he was known as a loving husband, dad, and grandfather. He was a family man by all accounts. He was also a skilled carpenter, tile layer and was good at breaking horses. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother: Calvin Ray and one Grandson: Garland Wesley (GW) Lovelace. He is survived by his wife Dorothy of the home: one son: Billy Ray and wife Lou of Decator, TX; Two daughters: Diane and husband Larry Lovelace of Lovington, NM and Oneta and husband Rodney Decker of Decator TX; Two brothers: Ronald Cogsdil and wife Kay of Hobbs, NM, and James Clifton Cogsdil and wife Pat of Layton, Utah; Two sister: EveLaDean and husband Glenn Culp of Bronte, TX, and Betty Lois and husband Dwight Taylor of Arkansas. Also surviving him are 10 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 16, 2012 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Monday, December 17, 2012 from 8:30am till 1:30pm at Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home.
