Obituary of Ermalinda Sears

Ermalinda Sears July 07, 1961 - August 13, 2013 Funeral services for Ermalinda Valdez Sears, 52, will be held on Friday, August 16, 2013 at 2:30 pm at Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home Chapel with Neal Fleenor officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. She was born in Artesia, New Mexico to Isabel and Margarita (Duran) Valdez on July 7, 1961 and passed away at her residence on August 13, 2013. She married Dennis “Kelly” Sears in Lovington on July 8, 2011. Mrs. Sears was a Mother and a friend. She gave her family all the stepping stones in life to become the people they are today, and through it all she stood proud of all of us. Her family, her husband, children and grandchildren meant everything in the world to her and she will always be remembered by her hugs, her smile and her laughter. She is survived by her husband of the home; her parents of Lovington; four sons: J.J. and wife Laura Jiminez; Billy Jiminez; and Ruben and wife Nicki Rodriguez all of Lovington and Rudy and wife Natasha Rodriguez of Carlsbad, NM. One daughter: Maria and husband Alexander Carrasco of Hobbs, NM; one brother: Steve and wife Ruby Valdez of Las Cruces; two sisters: Lisa and husband Jesse Lasoya of Lovington and Diana and husband Jose Valenzuela of Tennessee and also 18 grandchildren.
