Watch the Tribute Madge Jerene "Jerry" Senkirik November 29, 1936 - March 19, 2013 Funeral services for Madge Jerene “Jerry” Senkirik, 76, of Roswell, NM, formerly of Lovington, will be held on Friday, March 29, 2013 at 10:00 am at Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home Chapel with her nephew, Pastor David Farmer officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Jerene was born on November 29, 1936 in Haskell, Texas to James DeWitt and Mary Ethel (Thompson) Farmer and passed away on March 19, 2013 in Roswell, NM. She grew up and attended school in Haskell. She married Jerry Senkirik in Brownwood, TX on February 10, 1970. They moved to Lovington in 1974 and Jerene worked as a waitress at The Ranch House, The Shamrock Café and in Hobbs at K-Bobs. She was a member of 3rd & Central Church of Christ. She enjoyed doing housework, fishing, and loved her dogs and cats but mostly her husband was her best hobby and her life. She moved to Loving to be close to her daughter after her husband’s death in 2008 and then to Roswell a while back. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents; one sister: Ruby Jo Longrie; one granddaughter: Kimberly Boyte. She is survived by three daughters: Cheryl and husband Roger Cullins of Loving, NM, Jody and husband Calvin Sharp of Lockney, TX, and Helen and husband Carl Naehritz of Bedford, TX; one son: Gerald and wife Brenda Senkirik of Poolville, TX; two brothers: James and wife Pat Farmer of San Marcos, TX, and Billy and wife Linda Seelig of Carrizo Springs, TX; twelve grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren and her cherished cat, Knothead. In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to Texas Special Olympics, 1318 13th Street, Suite 7, Lubbock, TX 79401 or to Lea County Humane Society, PO Box 1192, Hobbs, NM 88241 or to a charity of your choice. Visitation will be on Thursday, March 28th from 10:00 am until 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent to www.kirbysmithrogers.com
