Obituary of James Thomas Coleman

James Thomas Coleman May 18, 1952 - May 12, 2015 Memorial services for James Thomas Coleman, 62, of Hope, NM will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at Hope Cemetery in Hope, NM. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home of Lovington, NM. Mr. Coleman was born in Nashville, Tennessee on May 18, 1952 to Jessie Tennie and Allie Evelyn (Beard) Coleman and passed away on May 12, 2015 in Lubbock, Texas. Tom was employed for many years as a tire builder for Firestone, now known as Bridgestone Automotive of Lavergne, TN where he took pride in his work. He enjoyed football games, car races, family gatherings and his hound, Fred. He also enjoyed traveling. Tom moved from Nolensville, TN as his health was not good, to New Mexico to have a healthier life. His wishes were to be cremated and laid to rest at Hope, NM. Tom was preceded in death by his parents; one sister: Charlene Coleman and one nephew: Charles Travis Newcom. He is survived by one son: James Thomas Coleman of Hope, NM; four brothers: V. Wayne and wife Charlotte of Hendersonville, TN; Danny R. of Hermitage, TN; , Jessie “Bubba” of Dickerson, TN and Ronald D. of Nashville, ; two sisters: Brenda Ann and husband Robin Daniels of Greenbrier, TN and Beverly Jean Newcom of Nolensville, T,.
