Watch the Tribute Norma Faye South October 24, 1929 - September 25, 2012 Graveside funeral services for Norma Faye South, 82, of Lovington, NM will be held on Friday, September 28, 2012 at 2:00 pm CST at Mitchell Cemetery in Iredell, Texas. Visitation will be on Thursday, September 27th from 8:30 am until 8:00 pm at the funeral home Services are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Norma was born on October 24, 1929 in Iredell, TX to Clyde and Nettie (Kilgo) Phillips and passed away at Lovington Good Samaritan Center on Tuesday, September 25, 2012. Norma was a resident of Andrews, Texas for many years before moving to Lovington in 1990 after her retirement. She was an x-ray technician and also had held other positions during her lifetime. She enjoyed playing Bingo and bowling and was an avid reader. She also enjoyed doing crafts. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Mary Alice Duley and one brother, Conrad Phillips. She is survived by one daughter; Elizabeth “Lisa” and husband Rocky Harper of Lovington and two granddaughters: Denese Harper and partner Israel Rios and Corey and husband, Salvador Ornelas all of Lovington. Also five great-granddaughters: Alexa and Avery Bell and Eastyn Rios, Ashlynn and Paliynn Ornelas.
