Vada Mae Tribble May 10, 1944 - November 05, 2009 Funeral services for Vada Mae (Johnson) Tribble, 65, will be held on Thursday, November 12, 2009 at 10:00 am at Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home Chapel in Lovington, NM with her son-in-law, Pastor William Stacy officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park Cemetery in Hobbs, NM. Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 from 9:00 am until 8:00 pm with family in residence from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Services are being directed by Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Mrs. Tribble was born on May 10, 1944 in Winchester, Kentucky to Luckes and Bettie (Rison) Johnson and passed away on November 5, 2009 in Joshua, Texas. She married James Russell Tribble on July 24, 1964 in Richmond, Kentucky and was happily married for over 40 years. Vada and James had made their home in Hobbs since 1972. She was of the Baptist faith, was a member of the Piecemakers Quilt Association and enjoyed cooking. She was the epitome of a loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker and her joy was being with her family and caring for them. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one brother, Hugh Johnson. She is survived by her three daughters: Bridget and husband Leon Castleberry of Seminole, TX; Peggy and husband William Stacy of Lake Villa, Ill and Jammie and husband Larry Jennings of Joshua, TX; one brother; L. B. and wife Lena Johnson of LaPorte, Indiana and three sisters; Louise Baker of Jessup, Maryland, Brenda and husband Jerry Williams of Berea, Kentucky and Bessie Durbin of Richmond, Kentucky. Also six grandchildren: Luke .,and Lena Castleberry, Suzanne Stacy, Emmily, Elizabeth and Evelynn Jennings and one sister-in-law, Juanita Johnson of Richmond, KY.
