Obituary of Mary Trujillo

Mary Trujillo March 15, 1931 - September 19, 2018 Memorial services for Mary Trujillo, 87, of Lovington, NM will be held on Monday, September 24, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Jackson Ave Baptist Church with Bro. Dave Rowser officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Mary was born on March 15, 1931 in Raton, NM to Julian and Romanita (Jaramillo) Rodriguez and passed away on September 19, 2018 at Good Samaritan Center. She worked for City Drug, Wackers, Anthonys, B&J Drug, and Western Auto and she loved her customers. Everyone knew her by Mary T. She liked to dance, especially the jitterbug and she and Joe have trophies for winning dance contests. Mary loved her Coco-Cola and always had a coke in her hand. She liked to go eat breakfast at different restaurants and at night she and Joe would go to McDonald to have their coffee and pie. Mary loved her grandchildren and liked to be around people and going to visit with her friends. She was fond of going to the casino and watching football when her favorite team, the Denver Broncos, played. She loved being outside and puttering with her roses. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers: Gome Rodriguez, Sam Rodriguez, and Billy Rodriguez; four sisters: Annie Grant, Lilly Zarogosa, Isabell Hobbs, and Eva Urtabo. Surviving her is her husband Joe, of the home; one son; Richard and wife Judy of Lovington, NM; two daughters: Rachel Castillo of Hobbs, NM, and Kathy and husband Jimmy Gutierrez of Lovington, NM; one brother: Joe T. and wife Viola Rodriguez of Albuquerque, NM; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
