Obituary of Geneva Tucker

Geneva Tucker July 21, 1937 - November 26, 2015 Memorial services will be held for Geneva Tucker, 78, Wednesday, December 2, 2015, at 10:00 am at the First Baptist Church in Tatum with Brother Wayne Brazil officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home in Lovington. Geneva was born July 21, 1937, in Marlow, OK, to Floyd and Leavy Frazier and passed away on November 26, 2015, at her daughter’s home in Hobbs, NM. She married Robert Tucker on December 14, 1954, in Portales, NM. Robert and Geneva owned and operated Tucker’s Service Station at Crossroads, NM. Geneva followed in her mother’s footsteps and became the Postmaster in Crossroads where she served for 25 years. She attended the First Baptist Church in Tatum. She loved playing games with her family and cards with her close friends at the Senior Citizen Center. She had a beautiful smile, kind heart and great sense of humor. Geneva was extremely loyal and dedicated to her husband of 50 years, her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by one son: Henry and wife Loretta Tucker of Tatum, NM: three daughters: Laquita and husband Tim Thomas of Lovington, NM, Rilda Perdue of Tatum, NM, and Pam and husband Russell Niemeyer of Hobbs, NM; one brother; Richard and wife Betty Frazier: one sister-in-law, Donna Frazier; seven grandchildren: Chris and wife Meagan Perdue, Wesley Perdue, Kyle & Michael Niemeyer, Rebecca, Darby & Jason Tucker: five great-grandchildren: Ayedan, Wendy, Kyle, Maxwell, and Rosemarie Perdue. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband: one infant son, David Tucker: one brother, Marvin Frazier: one sister Vina Lou and husband Fred Green.
