Opal Turner Brown September 26, 1926 - November 27, 2008 Opal Turner Brown of Lovington, NM, 82 was born on September 26, 1926 in Altus, Oklahoma. She passed away on November 27, 2008 in the Hospice House in Odessa, Texas. Service will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, Dec. 1, 2008 at Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ray Poskey officiating. Interment will follow at Lovington Cemetery. She is preceded in death by her parents, J. D. & Vera Nall; two husbands, Bluford Turner & Charles Lee Brown; one son, Kenneth Turner and one brother, Everette Nall. Opal is survived by three sons, Luther Turner of Las Cruces, NM, Pearl and wife Vickey Turner of Midland, Tommy and Pamela Turner of Austin, Texas; two daughters, Frances and husband James Hillard of Lovington, NM, Helen and husband Greg Holt of Eunice, NM; one brother, Cecil Nall of Mangum, OK and one sister, Goldie Franklin of Lubbock, Texas. Mrs. Brown had lived in Lovington for 60 years. She formerly was a dietician at the old hospital and Good Samaritan Center & the Hobbs Health Nursing Home. She was a caregiver & enjoyed taking care of others. In Lieu of flowers: Donations may be to Hospice House Foundation Inc., 903 N. Sam Houston Ave., Odessa, Texas 79761 Visitation will be held on Sunday, Nov. 30th from 1 pm until 8 pm.
