Obituary of Irma Louisa Valderaz

Irma Louisa Valderaz October 19, 1949 - December 19, 2016 Funeral services for Irma Louisa Valderaz, 67, of Lovington, NM will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at 10:00 am at Church of the Living Waters with Pastor Danny and Shirley Wright officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Irma was born on October 19, 1949 in San Ramon, Llera Tamaulitpas, Mexico, to Saturnino Saenz Salinas and Angelita (Champion) Salinas and passed away at her home in Lovington on December 19, 2016. Irma was a God fearing woman and loved to can chili salsa and enjoyed cooking, especially for her family. She loved animals, birds and goats. She enjoyed gardening, collecting chickens and roosters and she liked going to the casino and garage sales. She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter: Eloysa Doporto Ortega; two sons: Eloy Doporto and Benserlado Orosco, and one brother: Ruben Saenz. She is survived by her husband, Rafael, of the home; four sons: Gabriel Orosco of Lubbock, TX, Jesse and Sophia Valderaz of Modesto CA, Joe Valderaz of Lovington, NM, and Oscar and Gloria Falcon of Lubbock,TX; six daughters: Sylvia and George Villalta of Lovington, NM, Vicky and Paul Escobar of Hobbs, NM, Tommie and Chris Sanchez of Lubbock, TX, Velma Valderaz of Lubbock, TX, Vanessa and Brandon Milbeck of Lubbock, TX, and Maria Falcon of Albuquerque, NM; four brothers: Johnny and Patty Saenz of Gillette, WY, Homer and Jessie Saenz of Lovington, Joe and Nancy Saenz of Lovington and two step-brothers: Arturo and Crystal Rodriguez of Carlsbad, NM and Freddy Flores of Hobbs, NM; four sisters: Beatrice (Lynn) Noteboom of Buffalo, WY, Mary Rodriguez of Lovington, Nellie (Ralph) England of Portales, NM, and Elda Saenz of Lovington; forty grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 from 1:00 pm till 6:00 pm at the funeral home.
